Claude Nougaro
né le 9 septembre 1929 à Toulouse et mort le 4 mars 2004 à Paris, était un auteur-compositeur-interprète et poète français. Grand amateur de jazz, de musique latine et africaine, il a joué sur la musicalité des mots tout au long de sa carrière pour unir chanson française, poésie et rythme.
Claude Nougaro a commencé sa carrière sur scène en 1954 en récitant ses poèmes au Lapin Agile, un cabaret parisien de Montmartre. Il a également écrit des chansons pour Marcel Amont (Le Barbier de Séville, Le Balayeur du roi), Philippe Clay (Joseph, la Sentinelle), et a rencontré sur place Georges Brassens, qui est devenu son ami et mentor. Parmi ses plus grands succès figurent «Quatre boules de cuir», «Armstrong», et «Tu verras»

was born on 9 September 1929 in Toulouse and died on 4 March 2004 in Paris, was a French author-songwriter-performer and poet. As a great fan of jazz, Latin and African music, he played with the musicality of words throughout his career to unite French song, poetry and rhythm.
Claude Nougaro began his stage career in 1954 by reciting his poems at the Lapin Agile, a Parisian cabaret in Montmartre. He also wrote songs for Marcel Amont (The Barber of Seville, The King’s Sweeper), Philippe Clay (Joseph, the Sentinel), and met on site Georges Brassens, who became his friend and mentor. Some of his greatest hits include «Four Leather Balls», «Armstrong» and «You’ll See»
