Iolanda Cristina Gigliotti, dite Dalida, née le 17 janvier 1933 au Caire (Égypte) et morte le 3 mai 1987 à Paris 18e (France), est une chanteuse et actrice italienne naturalisée française.
Issue d'une famille italienne installée en Égypte, elle participe à des concours de beauté au début des années 1950 et tourne quelques films au Caire. Résidant en France à partir de 1954, elle connaît son premier succès de chanteuse avec le titre Bambino en 1956. Se façonnant un répertoire regroupant plus de sept cents chansons interprétées en plusieurs langues, elle devient une grande figure de la chanson française et bénéficie d'une popularité dépassant la scène francophone.
Souffrant d’une dépression, elle se suicide quelques mois après avoir été l'actrice principale du film dramatique égyptien Le Sixième Jour. Sa vie privée et sa mort font d'elle une icône au destin tragique.

Coming from an Italian family living in Egypt, she participated in beauty contests in the early 1950s and made a few films in Cairo. Living in France from 1954, she had her first success as a singer with the title Bambino in 1956. By forming a repertoire of more than seven hundred songs performed in several languages, she became a great figure of the French chanson and enjoys a popularity exceeding the francophone scene.
Suffering from depression, she committed suicide a few months after being the lead actress in the Egyptian drama film The Sixth Day. Her private life and death make her an icon of tragic fate.
